Acting Head of State Welcomes Thaksin's Daughter at Senate, Strengthening Cambodia-Thailand Ties

Phnom Penh, March 19, 2024 - The Acting Head of State, Say Chhum, graciously received Ms. Petong Tan Sinawatra, Vice Chairman of the National Commission for Soft Power Promotion of the Kingdom of Thailand and Chairman of the Pheu Thai Party, at the Senate of Cambodia this morning.

The meeting underscored the mutual commitment to enhancing and deepening the longstanding relationship between Cambodia and Thailand, maintaining the bonds of friendship, solidarity, and cooperation. Both parties expressed their dedication to further strengthening these ties, ensuring mutual benefits now and in the future.

During the encounter, the Acting Head of State and Ms. Patong Tan Sinawatra expressed satisfaction with the enduring friendly relations, strong neighborly ties, and extensive cooperation across various sectors. These collaborations have consistently evolved, culminating in the elevation of the bilateral relationship to a "Strategic partnership."
